Why Bumi Glow

Traceable to a name

Every jar carries a batch code. Enter it and you'll see who tapped the tree, where, and in which month.

Paid 20% above market

We publish what we pay our harvesters. It is the whole business model, not a marketing line.

No charcoal, no ash

Our mica-plate burner melts resin at around 200°C. No open flame, no soot, no smoke alarm at 6am.

Never burned resin before?

Four steps. Two minutes.

Warm the plate

Plug in the burner and give it sixty seconds. A foil liner keeps the plate clean.

Take a pinch

One or two pieces the size of a grain of rice. Resin goes further than you think.

Let it melt

It softens, then releases. Warm pine, sweet smoke, a little citrus at the edge.

Wipe while warm

Lift the liner when you are done. That's the whole cleanup.

What people say

From the first hundred

I have burned resin on charcoal for nine years and I am not going back. No soot on the ceiling, no scramble to open a window. Just the smell.

The batch card told me the month it was tapped and the district it came from. I did not expect to be moved by a piece of card.
Marcus L. · Singapore
White damar is the one. Brighter than the black, almost citrus. The 108g jar has lasted me nearly four months.

Our forest

One species. One forest. One named harvester.

Black damar comes from Shorea trees in the Malaysian interior. White damar comes from their brighter cousin. Neither is a blend, neither is relabelled, and neither passes through a broker who cannot tell you where it came from.

We pay 20% above the going rate and we publish the number. If that ever stops being true, this brand has no reason to exist.
